Custom Solutions

What makes us different?

BASO Lighting goes beyond selling products, we solve problems. And every problem has a solution with a dash of creativity.
Our luminaires build innovative solutions with its flexibility in implementation and a truly unique vision.

Capabilities

Our customizable options can be found at every step of the manufacturing process, from structural details down to technical intricacies.

PRODUCT DESIGN

One of BASO's key differentiators to our competitors is our flexible product design that can allow for plenty of interior solutions. Our luminaires have unique patents and the latest innovations in technology and engineering.

PERFORMANCE and OPTICS

We thoroughly test our fixtures and measure all possible optics from correlated color temperature to output capacities. Your next project needs just the right specs and our attention to detail will strive to meet your criteria.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

A custom solution is about bringing a vision into reality and our technical support can help in every step of the way. We work closely with specifiers, distributors and contractors to visualize, analyze and conceptualize each and every project.

Case Studies

There are numerous examples of how BASO Lighting approaches building projects by providing innovations in lighting design and luminaires. What makes us different is our approach to solving problems: creating unique applications that balance utility, efficiency and elegance.

Let's explore a selection of case studies that exemplify our design process from conceptualization to visualization.

Suspended Staircase Lighting

One of the innovations of our BASO and CURVE products is its continuous runs.

Not only can BASO and CURVE span the length of a corridor in one stream of light, it can also bend and bank the corners of an ascending staircase. This continuous run illuminates eleven floors with suspended fixtures, matching the angles of the stairs and the angles of the landings.

R-LINE Track Curves and Circles

Our newest product, R-LINE is a quintessential tool for custom lighting solutions.

Curved track, custom track shapes, custom intersections and corners are only a few of the offerings of R-LINE. Seen here in this installation, multiple facets of R-LINE work together in concert to create a rectangular overlay pattern while showcasing many potential applications.

Unique Shapes

From BASO to CURVE, suspended to recessed, our products can bend to acute and obtuse angles on a dime for shapes and contours that can be outlined with light. These case studies come from an upcoming project that shows prototype shape clouds that trace around experimental geometric forms.

This exploration of combining the high angle recessed finish of CURVE along with the sharp angles of BASO is continued in this additional shape cloud solution.

Outlining another suspended fixture exemplifies our ability to accommodate creative lighting projects.

Wood Ceilings

M-Line has far more versatility than meets the eye.

Not only can it create fantastic contours with its track, it can also be integrated into wood ceilings for an acoustic setting.

Our track projects can work as both standalone fixtures or integrated with other design elements to fit seamlessly in any setting. The installation at One Vanderbilt accentuates our ability to apply both a recessed track on the left as well as an integrated solution that includes a track within wood paneling.

Super Tight Radii

Certain interiors call for solutions that strictly adhere to the architecture. The corners that BASO and CURVE can turn go below a six inch radius.

Our recessed BASO finish at the White Plains Hospital contours the sharp turns of the reception desk and hallways, outlining the interior smoothly.

BASO Integration

Safety is more important than aesthetics and safety in a high-raise office space is paramount. In this instance we integrated BASO 4.0 with sprinklers, sensors and speakers in the ceiling to allow for a clean ceiling aesthetic.

Geometric Track Lighting

Our track systems can be configured into visually engaging contours by combining our sharp angles and spotlights to outline interiors with light and streamlined design. Our track lighting at the On Running offices in Portland, Oregon traces the large triangular ceiling window.

X-LITE in BASO 1.5

X-LITE's use of multiple cells allow for an interesting downlighting solution, but it's utility stretches past its use as a standalone product.

X-LITE can be seamlessly integrated into a BASO 1.5 system for situations that call for both linear and downlighting solutions.
